POOR MAN S POUND CAKE

2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 sticks margarine (or 1 stick
margarine & 1 stick butter)
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. double acting baking powder
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Put all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Beat at high speed for 10
minutes. Do not underbeat. Pour batter into an ungreased tube pan. Place in
COLD oven. Set temperature at 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour. Bayside, New
