UPSIDE DOWN DATE CAKE
- from Cupcake recipe
1 tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. dates, cut up
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
--SAUCE:--
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. margarine
1 c. hot water
Cream margarine and sugar. Sift dry ingredients. Add vanilla to creamed
mixture, then milk alternately with flour mixture. Stir dates and nuts in last.
Place batter in greased dish. Heat sauce ingredients and pour over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes. ^iRemember a prayer before eating is the
